Light tackle is a term used when fishing in shore and flats fishing.
Whether you are targeting trout, redfish cobia, tarpon, or shark, there
is no more effective presentation of live bait than using light diameter line.
Generally 6 to 15 lb. test is used targeting all species
except for cobia and tarpon which requires 30 lb. test line.
Light tackle allows live bait to look more natural
with less line dragged through the water.
All bait is fished with flurocarbon leader to make the line
tied to the hook look virtually invisible.
Light tackle fishing means more bites,
which in turn means more fish caught and more action.
